There's NO FUCKING trees up there. NONE. There's no farmland up there, the ground's frozen 24/7.
So how the fuck have these people lived up there, in -40c to -60c (-40f to -76f for you burgers) winters for countless millennia? You do some digging into their history, both what we as white people observe about them, and their own oral history is fucking fascinating.
They're not even Native Americans, they roughly arrived in North America 1000-1200 years ago from Siberia and if you want to be technical, the vikings were in Greenland a few decades before the Inuits arrived in Greenland. The vikings will just say that the winters in Greenland were too harsh and that's why they abandoned their original greenland colonies, the Inuits detail stories on the other hand of how they used to throw rotting animal carcasses into rivers and then divert the rivers into Viking settlements to drive them away and pick them off in the winters.
Hell, the greenland Inuit even have an oral story about how they sent people across the sea to Iceland in canoes to chase the vikings, but they never returned (and there was never any account of Inuit reaching Iceland from the vikings) though interestingly in the 12th century a dead Inuit in a canoe beached in Norway.
