This almost never happens in fighting games. A couple hundred people globally play USFIV or SFV at peak hours. Nobody is playing Tekken 7 or Xrd (I have no idea what the previous GG game is). Nobody who hated MK1 is playing MK11 or MKX. New game almost always kills old game. It took an MvCI level flop for MvC3 to stay alive.
