Because my parents were alcoholics/drug abusers and left me alone as a literal toddler until social services found out through a neighbor who heard me crying in the middle of the night.
Because of my fucking parents I spent 16 years in the system going from temporary family to the next and straight into the unemployment program when I turned 18.
And guess what?
When I finally DID get a job and money, my mom tracked me the fuck down and had the guts to ask me for fucking money.
Told her to never call me again and blocked her. Damn happy I live 10+ hours from them.
