I did some research. When seeing a person, when you're really into it like I was, it's normal to mistake people looking back at you. You're supposed to ignore it and treat it like analytic overlay (or "distractors" in my jargon).

So I actually saw the person in the pick this time, I knew his back was facing us, and I imagined he saw me back.
