Gave up on my essay desu. But basically: current day westoids want both PokeSpe Sapphire and Ruby (characters from an early 2000s Japanese manga from a Japanese franchise) to be like Deltarune's Susie and Ralsei (characters from a late 2010s American game popular with the anglosphere and related to Undertale/H*mestuck). But Ruby and Sapphire were not like that, so many westoids have been seething about it since the 2010s. The cultural difference between both creator/audience and time/location creates a complicated brainrot soup. I hope I don't have to explain Deltarune too, I'm not the biggest Tobyfag
