I don't think it should ever be in Standard with the sole exception of Dungeons & Dragons, which isn't even a separate IP since they're both 100% owned by WOTC and we've already gotten stuff like Plane Shift and Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica etc. Even LOTR being in Standard was a mistake imo. I would like as little UB as possible, but the existence of shit like one-off 40k EDH decks or the Street Fighter secret lairs doesn't bother me that much, but I still would like every UB card to have an in-universe equivalent so I don't have to see fucking Walking Dead characters if I don't want to

Printing fucking Spiderman and TMNT directly into Standard (and thus, also directly into Modern/Pauper/Pioneer/Historic/etc) is definitely crossing the fucking rubicon. Even if they never print another UB set ever again (we factually know this isn't happening) there's already gonna be over a thousand UB cards permanently shitting up the game for the rest of eternity until we get a Universes Within exclusive format or you go play Premodern
