i have thousands of hours in OSRS and have made it to late game with every official account type and a couple unofficial, the game is endlessly engaging to me and i never get tired of it
and yet
i cannot stomach rs3, i've tried over and over, i've tried main, i've tried iron, i've stuck with it for over a hundred hours to see if it eventually gets good
it just doesn't, it's dreadfully boring and it feels genuinely soulless and generic
it has completely shed everything that made rs2 charming and unique and fun
