If anything Hazbin is at the very least an interesting case study on how not to make a show, or really any kind of story. I can see it being a good way for people to sit down and pick apart what works and what doesn't since its flaws are pretty obvious. While not the most god awful thing in existence, its maximalist philosophy screws over pretty much everything.
It makes me wonder how this franchise(?) is going to fare in the future. Sure it's a merchandise pig right now, but what about farther ahead when the show wraps up and all is said and done? Style over substance is its main appeal, and asians especially are all about that, but can it stand on its own two legs when the source material is mediocre at best? I wonder if it'll go down a Sanrio route or fade away overtime when the hype subsides.
