Peter Navarro, adviser to the American leader on trade and economic issues, considers the Ukrainian conflict to be "Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's war," as New Delhi continues to buy oil from Russia.
His words are quoted by Bloomberg.

Navarro believes that "everyone in America" is losing out from the actions of the Indian leadership.

"I mean Modi's war, because the road to peace runs, in particular, through New Delhi," he said.

The adviser to the US president also called on the Indian authorities to behave "like a democracy."

India's decision not to abandon oil purchases in Russia after the US increased duties on Indian goods to 50% puzzled Peter Navarro, senior adviser to the head of the US Administration for Trade and Production.
