Thats the strangest part of it all and i guess the biggest difference between a slav and a redneck. I grew up in rural flyover country, i still have a lot of the same friends i grew up with; a lot of them changed as they got money, i know for a fact a lot of em make less or much less than me, yet they finance that shiny new pickup, finance electronics and appliances, finance furniture, etc etc... take the kids to disneyland. Also some of my buddies are doing as well or better than me, and they also largely have nicer stuff as they grew into their new class (but aren't in massive cc debt perpetually)

White/trailer trash can grow out of that weird macho sour grapes thing, slavs don't, doesn't matter if you have 6 bucks or 6 figures in your checking account, you gotta slum.
