Also there were lots of IDF accidents happening on the ground in Gaza, because the soldiers are so burnt out and ready to die.
here's a drone related story:
In July, another fatal incident took place at the Morag outpost. Staff Sergeant Amit Cohen was instructed by his commanders to arm a civilian drone with an explosive device, equipment not authorized for combat use by the army. When the drone was launched, the device fell to the ground, killing Cohen and severely wounding an officer beside him.
The IDF initially claimed that "Cohen was irresponsibly playing with the drone." However, testimonies from soldiers present indicate that commanders had ordered him to attach the explosive in direct violation of regulations, recklessly endangering the troops. As in previous cases, no commander was disciplined or removed from duty.
