when i was young, i came up with the phrase "everything is true" for what i would eventually realize would be a form of the perennial philosophy. not that literally everything is true, but that when there is truth in the world, it will resonante in many other forms and places. i believe that the amount of people who have trouble with sats, even if they're supposedly doing it "right", points to the technique incidentally working but perhaps more by side-effect or coincidence. there's several truths that i hold to be self evident, including simplicity and elegance. some things are complex, sure, but by focusing on elegance and simplicity, we can find power and truth.
on its face, sats is a pretty simple technique and doesn't really have or need additional complexity to work. but let's imagine working backwards from an ideal manifestation: it arrives quickly, instantly, and is easy, arriving almost by an effortless action. these manifestations don't need lots of effort or months of dedication or strength, sometimes, they just appear, almost like a synchronicity. there's enough stories about these kinds of manifestations that i believe that they are possible. if you've read the tao te ching, it's abundantly clear that one of the prevailing sources of truth lies in the complementary behavior of opposites, the yinyang. one example is how a cup is as useful for the void within, as the walls. so let's look at the complement of a perfect manifestation, where there can be an incredibly amazing and powerful change, one that is powerful for being unnatural, against the order of what one expects.
