I've noticed one thing that's unique about gochi threads is that the generation/adoption process of new memes is very short compared to anywhere else. Once it's decided that something's funny it immediately gets incorporated into the group lexicon and everyone is instantly familiarized with its whole meaning. Usually each step in the process takes more time, with more trial and error, but the pals are just so tight-knit that once it's apparent that if any one pal finds something funny, it can be safely assumed that all pals will find that thing funny and the standard testing period becomes superfluous. The "hivemind" is especially true for /gochi/
