I got attacked by the "art" community early on for supporting AI art, mostly because what was done was already done, you can't undo all of that work. And besides, they've proven even ethically sourced AI art by their standards (the artist uses their own art) is still grounds for them to just attack said artist anyways. So, it really doesn't matter in the end, they are just looking for people to attack and feel justified for doing it.
I still remember how it all began with some pretentious top of the industry artists getting the boot because their egos made them impossible to work with, they got shitcanned hard and essentially barred from the industry for being annoying cunts for way too long; so they decided to blame AI generated art (which was still in its infancy and in no way good enough to be used commercially outside of a niche interest) and led a whole crusade against it. (And conveniently marking all types of sites you can buy their overpriced works as well as ways to monetarily support them since AI totes rekt them.)
