Of course the game is difficult. Half of the difficulty is dealing with shitty programming, bullshit and bad design with the excuse of difficulty and git gud.
The camera is dogshit. Like absolutely dogshit. I can't think of games with worse cameras than this one. Camera distance is too low and half of the time it's looking to the ground or changing directions. Specially near walls. You are looking at graphics clipping and monster legs and the ground because fromsoft can't manage to make a good camera after years and years.

Lock on doesn't even work, it unlocks or focuses the enemy you don't want. I can't even understand the logic behind it, does it focus the enemy you have on front, does it focus the nearest enemy, I swear it follows no logic. Why the fuck would you want to focus a grunt 50 meters away when you have a boss right next to you that you are fighting.
Why do bosses have different lockon points anyways? Why do they let you target a dragons ankle or chest instead of just the head? Don't let me get started with big enemies fights with its 50% of the fights in this game. They have chicken legs, constantly moving and the camera doesn't adapt to them.
Making a good camera isn't even difficult. Many games have ok cameras. If you have touched any game engine you can make an aceptable camera in like an afternoon. They can't even manage that.
