for most part its just extracting .rar files in the main game folder. Only exception I can think of is Arasaka cyberarms that requires picking specific files of your liking and sending them to their designated directories. comes with instructions for dummies like me and all that
were you using some mod manager/the nexus vortex or something like that which introduced conflicts?
