>Since I have seen a lot of fake news about alleged German security guarantees,

Depending on whether Germany would fully equip or just partly equip Ukrainian mechanised brigades (like France which funny enough said it would fully equip them), all kinds of other equipment and vehicles would also have to be delivered. Logistical and engineering vehicles, medical stuff, drones, rifles and so on. The list is really long.

I cannot say why the article mentions the delivery of 480 vehicles “per year”. That does not make sense to me. After all, IFVs etc. that have already been delivered do not need to be replaced annually as if they had an expiry date, but of course, it's true that it would take Germany more than a year to deliver the equipment needed for four mechanised brigades.

Before I end this tweet here, just a quick note about the remaining security guarantees that were proposed today, according to SPIEGEL.

The delivery of additional air defence systems, further investments in the Ukrainian industry to finance the production of far-reaching weapon systems, continuing EUMAM UA, Ukraine's accession to the EU. Nothing mentioned in the SPIEGEL article involves anything that Germany is not already doing or has not already promised to do. It is up to each individual to decide for themselves whether these are genuine security guarantees.
