As far as shop floor aerospace work goes, it doesn't require a degree.
You have to have a specialty or be part of a union to get beyond $100K a year though.
My brother and I just applied with no previous experience and that was it.
I was already good with my hands, so the transition was fairly easy.
We both been working aerospace for about 10 years though.
Most entry level aerospace mechanic jobs are about $50K a year or less
