when people use christianity as a shield for the bigotry, it's appauling. it's called acting in bad faith because they say their actions allign with their christian religious beliefs, but that don't actively practice the faith. at all. wearing a cross is the new fashion statement. bigots will openly hate the lgbt community and try to use their religion as a shield for their intolerance. it's just white people being bigotted.
whether or not it's true that tyler lived with lance we will still have to wait and see, but when lance is reporting out that they hated christians and conservatives did you ever stop to think maybe it's because you guys went too far? no? and that's exactly the problem.
these people don't magically become radicallized. it means they've been oppressed by the authoritarianism of the republicans.
