>James Cameron, Kathryn Bigelow, Richard Donner, Tim Burton, Danny Boyle, David Fincher, Joel Schumacher, John McTiernan, Robert Rodriguez, Irvin Kershner and Stephen Hopkins were approached to direct before Bryan Singer was hired.
>Early drafts featured Magneto hunting Wolverine because he needs Adamantium to complete his mutation machine rather than hunting Rogue in order to use her to sacrifice her to activate the machine.
>Early drafts featured Beast, Pyro and Blob. Beast and Blob were cut for being too expensive, while Pyro only made a cameo.
>Russell Crowe, Keanu Reeves, Edward Norton, Kiefer Sutherland, Aaron Eckhart, Viggo Mortensen and Gary Sinise were considered for Wolverine before Dougray Scott was cast. He later dropped out and was replaced by Hugh Jackman.
