Tawna's redesign is just one of the many things wrong with Crash 4. I actually generally liked the change in art style that 4 had, but that game is just not fun to play after a certain point. The mask power-ups make the later levels feel not as fun as they should be, and the fact that I quite literally gave up on smashing all the boxes after a certain point because I would always come up short no matter how hard I tried to find them is detrimental to the entire point of the game. Unironically, there's too much shit to collect. But Crash 4 wasn't even the last Crash game they made. It was Crash Team Rumble and the endless runner mobile game that were the last Crash games made. Vicarious Visions dying when it did was just a death sentence for the series.
Also Crash 4 had a distinct lack of Dingodile, and despite advertising him as a new playable character, he only had like five levels to himself.
