I'd do this but go even harder.
-There are only PhJobs in OC.
-Every PHjob has a very small and concise kit, like the PvP idea mentioned above.
-The idea is to pick a simple idea or 'CLASS FANTASY' to play into.
Chemist(I have no idea how they work in FF5, just FFT) The gimmick is no spell casts, but uses items that all share a short CD with eachother.
Basic rifle shot as filler.
Large Heal(Potion)
Raise(Pheonix Down/Revive)
Damage over time(firebomb/acid/idk you're a fucking chemist)
Individual buffs to apply to yourself or party members(Power Drink/Speed Drink/etcetc)
I'm not going to get into balance because I don't work for a multi-billion dollar company, but the idea is solid and true to the FF design without having to play mega mudras with 'ingrediants'.
