Does it count if it's optional

If it's no big deal and not special there shouldn't be any problem showing it, though, especially since it would reinforce showing the perfidious xenos as the vile scum that they are, and give the player more reasons to hate them, and show real, genuine torment and trauma being inflicted on your crew. For some reason sexual violence works much better at conveying that kind of thing to an audience, I guarantee that if your entire crew was raped absolutely 99% of players would kill Yrliet rather than just 90%. How many players would sympathize more with Cassia saying she'd rather die than have been raped when pushing for Yrliets execution VS the current scenario where she says she would've rather been killed than go through her horrendous torture?

For some reason stuff like having your organs boiled or being forced into sensory deprivation torture to the point you go insane or being embraced by a fucking Talos pain engine doesn't register to the average person, but you bring up sexual violence and suddenly they actually FEEL the pain and torment being inflicted on the character being portrayed. Which is pretty crazy since extreme physical torture is much worse than rape but yeah that's just how it is in entertainment mediums, which is they Dark Eldar should've raped your entire retinue, so it would actually get across to the player how fucking evil and disgusting they are. Especially imagine the reactions of players romancing Cassia only to discover her horrendous fate, god it would've been glorious to see the xenocidal rage that would've resulted. Real missed opportunity by Owlcat all around.

She is a noble and a nerd and reads a lot of books. It just fits for her to order people around and use her extensive knowledge to command them

She is an assassin who is supposed to not take pleasure in killing. She should just kill someone and not take time to open wounds on him so he bleeds out. She does it on herself for ritualistic reasons.
Heinrix on other hand is a torturer by profession, on top of being a biomancer so he knows human biology perfectly and so knows where to strike to make it hurt.

I guess, but BH is more of a gunslinger character. She is an Eldar Outcast Ranger, she should take care to prepare and make a perfect strike from afar to eliminate important target. Assassin fits better
