That means you always roll on the standard banner until you get a 5 star
After you get your 5 star, you star rolling on the special banner because it has pity at 50 pulls instead of 80.
You essentially save yourself potentially 30 pulls.

Earlier Chaos stages especially on lower difficulty have low save data caps. To guarantee a very strong build is saved play on the later chaos stages at high difficulty. Trauma mode also increases the cap.
