What the Z narrative always claims in the meme image that we were just autonomous grand duchy and everything was fine but they only cherry-pick the parts from the good tsars when there were several. In fact Alexander II was good to point we still have a statue of him in the senate square at the capital and we never took it down
What the narrative fails to mention that things turned completely around come Nicholas II, sure he was a good tsar for the russians but not good for us, in fact he was going to end the autonomous status of Finland, make using finnish and swedish illegal and replace it with russian, and make finland part of russia proper and russify it integrate it to the empire.
