You know, this thread has made me realize something. They of course don't spam leftist shit because they think they will convince anyone. But they don't even do it because they think they will muddy down conversation and make the place unusable. They spam because they want to make this place more hospitable to redditors. I feel like there are a few of these lefty posts you see that are being done "genuinely" by "people" who believe it. Redditors feel emboldened to post their shitty anti-Trump memes here now because of waves of leftist spam. They know that there will be a manufactured consensus to defend them, exactly like their home site.
