I love how all over the place this flashback is. Let's scrutinize the timeline so far:
>1152
We start a flashback from 14 years ago, then move to a narrator-led flashback within it 109 years ago
>1153
From there we go from 105 years ago, to 81 years ago, to 63 years ago
>1154
We go from there to 56 years ago, and then 48 years ago
>1155
We jump back in time a bit, but mostly wobble around 48 to 44 years ago.
>1156
This chapter happens at around the same time as 1155
>1157
Between 44 to 42 years ago
>1158
Around 40 to 39 years ago
>1159
39 to 38 years ago, up to the beginning of the God Valley incident
>1160 to 1165
Spans the events of a single day 38 years ago.
So in the 4 chapters between 1152 and 1155, we got a 61-year spanning flashback. 1157-1159 covered only a handful of years, which is when we moved from Harald to proto-GV. Then 1160-1165 covered only a single albeit very eventful day at GV. Given that the Harald flashback will begin soon and end at about 14 years ago, we can assume that the length of it is wrapped up in pretty much a single chapter. Assuming we end GV at 1166, and dedicate 1167 to Harald's life spanning 38 years ago to 14 years ago, and from 1168 spend a chapter or two on the fateful day 14 years ago and add a bit of Loki's backstory between 14 years ago to present (no more than three chapters), we're looking at a return to the present at around 1172, which is 7 chapters fron now, which is roughly three months away. I suppose I was a bit generous with Loki's post-Harald backstory, but even accounting for that, it doesn't look like we're going back to the present before January.
