THAT one was especially offensively bad. Between Homoheim, the new dumb abno ranking, the sinner powerscale and the reveal that Dante has predestination driven invincibility, it did far more damage to the world building than good.
There's no character development, no mystery, no real consequences to anything, they're the very definition of filler... The most we ever got was Rodion in TKT, and that wasn't even character development, because she didn't change at all, we just got to see a little more of her "mask-off" moments.
