here this nomi riichi, while usually good with the sha shanpon, didn't seem that appealing to me because I didn't want to win off anyone else but shimocha or by tsumo. dama tsumo is enough to kill either way
thought I'd rather avoid some worst case scenarios and try to wrap things up in this hand if possible via tsumo or dama ron after improvements.

ignore what I actually did here, 2s dama is a major blunder and kills the improvements quite efficiently. 2s is fine for the riichi angle though.
