You kinda have to pick one when it comes to wholesome or not a complete spaz. The thread used to be jokingly called "mommy issues general" for a reason, a lot of the old guard of writers have admitted to having problems with their guardians.
Here are a few that I think you might at least somewhat like and a short summary of each:
>The Princess Filly
Genuinely cool adventure story, there's some conflict but it feels very grounded if ponies were more pg-13. Pretty much exactly what it is on the tin, anonfilly is an alicorn princess and has to navigate that life.
>Anon vs. Adoption
Twilight gets annoyed with filly and sends her off somewhere where she won't have to deal with her. Filly goes to an orphanage because she's hungry and then can't leave. Shenanigans ensue.
>Placeholder/Generic Green Asshole Saves the World but Not Really/Anon's a filly and Twi's not a cunt
Anonfilly and Twilight have a relatively healthy mother daughter relationship (partially fueled by Twilight's curiosity) and Spike isn't written out of the story like most stories tend to (for better and for worse).
>Anon the alcoholic
Made me cry the first time I read it, but it's been years so unsure how it holds up. Anon is turned into a filly because he's kinda self-destructing his life through drug and alcohol abuse, sadly it kinda just ends with zero conclusion.
>ASSFAGGOT/AnonFilly, Feat. Abusive Twilight
Irredeemable but very good depiction of Twilight, this story is basically the final form of the high functioning 4chan shitpost zero-mask hyperautism doing battle with the hyper-masking hyperautism. Lots of very comfy moments between the constant psyops from both sides, this is my favorite anonfilly story and there's a reason I take every opportunity to shill it.
>AllOfMyRegret/Mommy Issues
It's genuinely pretty comfy, but it's more of a snack than a meal when it comes to wordcount
