He's really good at what he's good at. In my head I call it the logistics of fantasy (magic systems and stuff), he's sharp at that. His characters aren't like crazy deep, they aren't bad and they do have some real depth especially if it's struggles he has clearly felt before (looking at you Kaladin and Szeth) but you know it isn't like super character depth. WoT is sort of like if nobody made any decisions ever in Stormlight.
