I've read up to chapter 473 of New White Snake and it's become disappointing to me. I guess what I liked most about the story was the protagonist was one of the rare xianxia main characters of late who is striving to actually be a moral person, despite being a "monster". At some point it switched from her doing good and getting no thanks in return to her doing good only for benefits to her being completely arbitrary in her actions.
Like many xianxia stories it lacks in direction and plot but doesn't even have some overarching reason for the character's situation ("I need to get stronger so I can get revenge!" or "My sect burned down and now I have to seek the lost treasure the sect older told me about before he died!" etc) she's described as lazy so has no reason to be anywhere but back at the sect but she's spent only a month there in the past 300 years.
At one point she spent 10+ years protecting and training the once in a thousand years generational protagonist chosen by the heavens then drops him once he gets old enough, they encounter each other twice over the years and then she cultivates for 50 years and he's never heard from again.

Honestly, the graphics are kinda growing on me the more I see them, still doesn't beat proper pixel art or frame by frame animation but its not that bad.
