The "$15 indie game sold at $60-$90" thing is fairly recent. Up until recently, their games still had SOME budget. Several of their best titles came out after Nep VII, like Mary Skelter and Death end re;Quest. The decline and "indiefication" of their games speaks to me of a lack of funds for a budget. In other words, Compa is likely very, very poor these days, the money from Neptunia's heyday having run dry after the PS4 era, and Calamity Angels looking like a scrapped mobile phone game really drives this home. It really makes me worry what the next mainline is going to look like, because it's going to need to wow people to win the audience back, but judging by their recent games, Compile Heart does not have the funds for any major leap in presentation. Unless they are diverting everything to the mainline, but still...
