What's your personal /vr/ gatekeeping criteria?

Mine: If someone hasn't beaten at least one classic 2D Mario game than they're not a real retro gamer, they're a poser.

If you didn't beat Zelda 1 without a guide than you didn't beat the game. You need to draw a map while you play and find everything on your own.
