The worse part was at Vârful Arpașu Mic (2460 metres) because there is no trail, you're literally climbing on huge rocks with your bare hands and feet. It was so difficult I crashed down between two rocks to hide from the rain and wind and decided to eat for a moment. The caretaker at the hotel told me breakfast is between 08:00-10:00, but I was leaving to Moldoveanu at 05:30, so he said, "I will make you some sandwiches you can take before you leave. Is.. pork and cheese a problem?" (he saw my Israeli passport) so I told him that I'm not religious and that it's fine. Such a nice old man. Those fucking ham and cheese sandwiches saved me up there.
