We grew up in the internet and vidya age, we didn't have online gratification and the "possibility" to earn a living with it. New games, new applications and new sites were coming out all the time and forums were fun, interesting and most people were helpful, even the trolls weren't downright malicious.

Zoomers didn't grew up in the internet age, they grew up in the social media age where likes, retweets, viewer counts and upvotes being the most important (backed up by algorithms) and the only way to get them is to either say the most controversial shit or normiest shit ever.

I remember there being so much more diversity in the olden days. You'd visit a dozen sites every day, play new games and go to so many different forums to talk about pretty much everything.

Everyone had a personality, some would be rude, some would be funny and some would be helpful but most important they were all genuine. Now everyone is either trolling or being pissed off for some reason, sending off insults before you've even said anything or know who you were.
