My read is that Löwe/Held doesn't know all that much about the "hows" of magic so to speak. He's just a strong and fast guy with a sword who sees how it's used against his fellow man and wants no more of it. Or so I say but he is the first character to bring up that the workings of the world were re-written during the age of myth.

I cannot comment on the translation choices of the scanlator. She/they are credited as Misa Japnese Ammo so maybe you can contact them on X/twitter or maybe via (electronic)mail if the publisher recieves fanmail or something.
