That would have happened, IF you didn't pussy out and start bombing German industry and military, but most of the blame goes to France, which could literally steamroll through a relatively undefended western Germany. A German general literally admitted at Nurenberg, that Germany would have collapsed if France really committed, because most of Germany's army was preoccupied in Poland, then a large part of it would need to split and go back to defend Germany from the west. Then Poland could breathe and finish the partial mobilization up to 1 million soldiers and strike from the east double whamming Germany together with Frances 1,5 million army = 2,5 million Polish and French soldiers + British bombers and navy blockade against 1,5 million Germans.
