The combat just feels really strange. I played BT3 and Sparking Zero recently, and while they are very similar Sparking Zero has little changes that throw off the whole thing. Rush attacks can hit when the opponent is lying flat on the ground, that's fucking OP. Jumping ki blasts ruined. Mechanics don't let you reposition yourself very quickly. Attacks have very fast animations and all feel very light, there was this satisfaction to attacks in BT3 that Sparking Zero is missing. There's a lot more to it:

Between the mechanics and lack of modes, Sparking Zero just kind of sucks in general. It has some cool mods but BT3 is the more fun game.
