About the belt, I wouldn't think too much of it, my pic is AI so it can make mistakes.
Random but your drawing reminded me of the Togainu No Chi military figures, specially the white version (early 2000 japanese media loved nazis but couldn't be honest about it lol).
To me the berets are the prettiest part and I bet Izuru would look great with the beret.
