I will never be cruel to transgender identified people, I'll never call you names, I know several in real life. But I do not believe it's actually good for your mental health, or the collective mental health of society at large. I've read all the studies I've been pointed to. They either have a Low Strength of Evidence in their findings, rely too heavily on self reported data, or have really weird attributions of cause. One study I read claimed that a hormonal factor was strongly associated with Gender Expression. But then the actual data showed that nearly 50% of all the participants in the study were somewhere in the middle in terms of that metric, and there were MtF and FtM individuals who tested in the "highly masculine and highly feminine" ranges corresponding to their biological sexes, despite being transgender identified.

It's bad science leading a conclusion they're emotionally invested in. That's all there is to it.

I have no religious or moral compunction at play here. I just don't like seeing what looks to me like the equivalent of giving an anorexic Ozempic, or amputating the healthy limb of a body dysmorphia disorder sufferer.

I genuinely don't identify with any of the major political coalitions going right now, in any country.

I want total freedom of expression. But I also don't think transgender theory is healthy for the people who identify with it, and I don't think the science behind it is very high quality, either. (Here are some brain scans, we didn't distinguish between people receiving hormone treatments and those who aren't, and even then the brains of MtFs are more similar to cis men, and the brains of FtMs are even more similar to cis women than in the case of MtFs.) (Here's a dubious hormonal factor that's also associated with autism. We're alleging it has some connection to gender expression, but almost 50% of people are somewhere in the middle, and there are extreme outliers who reported being transgender despite being on the opposite end of the scale, and some who were comfortably cis despite being in the same range with many of the transgender individuals.)

If Transgender people could explain to me how they're substantially different from an anorexic, a body integrity image disorder sufferer, or a person with an image disorder targeting a form which is physically impossible to approximate at all, I'd support them.
But as it stands, I don't want to support such things because they come with serious risk of harm. Increased stroke risk, even in otherwise healthy people, higher risk for osteoporosis and other systemic illnesses, corresponding to whichever hormone treatment they're on. The science isn't in nearly as much agreement as they claim, and I can't support such things in good conscience when I don't even know if it's healthy for them.

An anorexic would tell me to "just trust them" and would be overjoyed to receive a prescription of Ozempic to affirm their identity. But it still wouldn't satisfy them after long. A body integrity disorder sufferer would probably feel better for a while after having the problem limb amputated, but those feelings would be projected onto some other part of the body and they'd find something else alienated before long.

I don't hate transgender people, and I'd never insult them. I just don't want to enable behavior that leaves them worse off, because I empathize with their struggle, and I'd rather see them heal from it than indulge it, if it's possible, simply because indulging it never seems to end the feelings of dysphoria completely, and the physical consequences aren't trivial.

I don't hate you. I'm scared you're doing yourself more harm than good, and trying to satisfy maladaptive feelings that will always find a reason to say you haven't done enough yet.
