Most people are addicted to cheap validation. They can’t function without someone patting them on the back. Their entire nervous system is wired for short-term gratification.
So even if, by some fluke, they give anonymously, they’ll crack within hours and tell someone about it just to get that hit. And then they wonder why the universe doesn’t reward them. Why nothing comes back. Why they feel stuck, exhausted, broke, and bitter. It’s because they already chose their reward; a temporary social ego-boost instead of a massive energetic return.
And it gets worse.
These people then spiral into resentment. They stop giving altogether. They think the universe betrayed them. They believe their generosity “didn’t work.” So they hoard harder. Close up more. Build walls. And they die slowly, from the inside out. They never see that it was them all along.
