Yes. So the company they work for hold all the cards for renewing the visa. I don't know why they don't just immediately jump for citizenship but I guess maybe there's some stipulations and hurdles.
Either way...that's where the slave caste becomes apparent...
They want to stay in the US so they don't ever say no to anything from the company that holds their visa. That company knows this and will basically abuse the fuck out of them by working them long hours and for shit pay.
Which should give you an idea of what sort of hell hole India must be.
