It is, but its been fucky this last season. The plasma blasts the location it touches multiple times and used to trigger like 1.5k-3kp on the early cash nodes. This season it would barely get 300 more xp than the blowtorch in similar time frame, but would crash my phone/switch - so I idle with the blowtorch instead.

I have a backbone pro for my galaxy 22+ and it lets me tape the trigger down to autoshoot while afk, I've been leaving it on overnight with the blowtorch. If I'm actively farming, I'll switch between two plasmas because it feels a little faster and I can kinda see when the games going to crash out if I'm on a handheld. Pc/consoles you should be alright.
