I've been of the belief that the show ended true and proper with season 3. Twilight got wings, ascended to godhood as the climax of an up-until-then non-existant and retroactively supplanted story arc. When Twilight flew into the screen and said things was gonna be all right, I felt that. I remember continuing with S4 and quiting after S5. Honestly all the worthwhile good experiences to be derived from the show begins and ends with season 1-3. After that you're just gonna be too busy with looking for morsels amongst refuse. The show ended otherwise multiple times. Twilight got wings. The library got destroyed. CMC got cutiemarks. Dash became a wonderbolt. Poochie. Spike wings. Discord reformation. Creature six. School of Friendship. Meme faces. Season 4 might be bearable but it doesn't wrap things up in as nice a way as S3 did.
