Shut up. That "unrecognizable" line is complete garbage and it easily proves Ian's idea of "character development" sucks. I'm glad Kishimoto removed that line from the Japanese version. Should have removed it altogether. I hate that line, it's literally just an excuse for anything OOC going forward. Oh, it's "character development" that he had off screen! Because that's what "character development" is apparently. Randomly becoming a completely different person

In movie 2 Tails knows a lot about Sonic's life just like with Yuta in the manga. He also has more of a focus on math/numbers in his early dialogue in the manga, which iirc was also in the movies. I don't think it's ooc but I hope it doesn't become overplayed
