No need to apologize lol, I have no problem rambling about it.
So the pole I have is tention fit between the floor and ceiling. Installing it wasn't exactly easy but I didn't have to pay anyone or drill any holes in anything.
As for how I started, honestly it was something I was curious about trying out since I was like 15. I just liked the aesthetic and it probably was also just a bit of how I wasn't cis showing through. Anyway, I got the chance to try a class when I had to write an essay about going out and doing something new and adventurous. I ended up really liking it and the instructor was super nice in a way I wasn't particularly used to at the time. Now tragicly that studio has since shut down and the person moved away, but there are a few places here so I've been able to keep at it
