Yeah we make him wear a bell on his collar so he can't kill native birds, I don't think it's the law but it's common practice. He goes through the motions according to instinct but he doesn't even bother doing it properly. He gets bugs and small lizards all the time and sometimes mice doe. I think him and two other cats on the street killed a baby possum just by playing with it until it died of exhaustion, they didn't eat it tho just left it dead in the yard
