>Arizona
>2250 or so
>Protagonist is an Enclave remnant, a now 30-something year old survivor of the oil rig turned wanderer
>leading lady is an 18 year old vault dweller searching for a GECK to use it to repair the failing reactor of her vault
>they meet by happenstance while he is prospecting a location, i dont know an atomics factory or something where she's there doing sidequest bullshit, and work together at first only because the protagonist intends to betray her later for profit
>main factional conflict is between caeser's legion, the local tribes and raiders they are subjugating, and the remnants of the Master's cult along with super mutants from his army still residing in the area from their flight out of California back when
>on a character level it would be about vault girl hardening herself in the face of a hostile world that takes advantage of her to hurt her and her family as much as it can while still retaining her sense of humanity, while the protagonist curbs his doomer tendencies and learns to balance his nihilism with a carefully curated amount of humanity fostered by vault girl
>also based age gap hetero romance to make roasties seethe
>despite the GECK ostensible being the mcguffin of the story, actually pretty much every big actor involved wants into the vault instead for their own reasons, so one of the main contention points would be an invasion of the vault after its location gets leaked from vault girl and enclave man being taken captive at some point in the story or something. I'm not sure if it would be more kino if the legion invaded after stealing her pip boy to get in, or the cultists and super mutants to call back to the bad ending of 1. Either way it pivots into a revenge story and ends with the two of them riding off into the sunset together. Maybe there'd be a scene where his PA is too wrecked from all the fighting to continue operating so he has to leave it behind, symbolizing his growth as a person from start to end
