Everyone becomes aware that Will's group has the Archetypes pretty early on but unlike most people, Louis already knows what they are beyond vaguely "this is the power the hero kings used to use".
Louis doesn't respect the power of kings at all, and the outward appearance of his archetype goes perfectly with this, because the archetypes that all resemble past hero kings are suits of armor meant to shield from anxiety, while his is almost completely nude and offers no protection from it at all. He knows that at the end of the day it's all a sham from people that failed to amount to anything. Your archetypes shit on you and lament not being able to make the world they were looking for the whole game too. He absolutely wouldn't see that power as a threat. Louis doesn't start paying attention to Will because of his magic powers but because he shows signs of being capable of upsetting the status quo.
